Warehouse's thermals are a reproduction of the tortoiseshell knitting style from the 1950s. Thermal fabrics are more heat-retaining and stretchy than plain jersey or fleece, and fit tighter to the body. They shrink when washed, but stretch moderately when worn, and shrink again when washed. By repeating this simple cycle, they become a daily wear that fits the body. Another feature is that the ribbing on the cuffs is set slightly longer.
